249 Albany was a complex building addition and renovation project on a tight site in a typical Toronto neighborhood. The site offered a unique and generous backyard with a number of large mature trees which act as a beautiful backdrop for all views from within the house.
The design utilizes an open planning approach with the ambition of connecting the rear yard garden to the interior with large operable windows and doors. White oak custom built-in millwork elements are used to both organize adjacent spaces and maximize storage throughout the house.
