Bennington Heights Public School was in need of two new kindergarten classrooms. This renovation project created these rooms by combining a number of existing classrooms and service rooms. A dedicated outdoor playground was also created immediately adjacent to these rooms accessed directly through a new centrally located mudroom and entrance. The two new classrooms share facilities, natural light and view by using partial height millwork and a passage way along the perimeter windows. This partial height millwork is intended to provide some basic visual separation while permitting free movement and collaboration with the adjacent classroom.
