Canadian Investment Firm – Toronto Office

(Client name withheld upon request)

This project involves a series of multi-phase, multi-floor office interior renovation projects over a ten year period. The company has grown from 50 staff on a single floor to more than 1200 staff over 18 floors at its downtown Toronto headquarters. Altogether, the projects for this client in Toronto total more than 350,000 square feet of renovated space and more than 45 million worth of construction.

Each floor is organized with an open plan concept with private offices located toward the interior of the floor plate thus maximizing access to daylight and views for all staff. Floating bulkheads, accent cove lighting and ceilings are used to direct staff and visitors toward the communal spaces and functions.

The Guest Services floor is a conferencing facility housing the company’s main reception and more than a dozen meeting rooms of varying sizes. The project was used to create a new and sophisticated public identity for this growing international investment firm.

Robust natural Canadian materials such as Eramosa Limestone and solid Douglas Fir are used to give a sense of strength and stability and to create a connection to the company’s Canadian roots.

This project has become the design standard for all new international satellite offices including, London, Luxembourg, Mumbai, Hong Kong, Sao Paulo and New York.
