This project is a two floor complete renovation and was designed to house the firm’s Public Markets Department including an 80 person Trading Floor. Building Arts Architects was responsible for the interior design and technical coordination. The project also involved complex phasing requirements for this department based on growth projections out to 2020.

The design represents an evolution of an aesthetic developed over years of working with this particular client. Bright and open spaces are created using transparent and translucent glass. This is balanced with areas of solid Canadian Douglas Fir wood. The space planning incorporates a variety of seating types depending on the working methods of the various groups within each department. Open collaboration areas and private focused work zones are used to augment a complement of more traditional private offices and meeting rooms. Most of the larger meeting rooms incorporate sophisticated Audio Visual systems integration including video conference capability.
