The Benchmark Restaurant is operated by the Canadian Food and Wine Institute at Niagara College. The restaurant was to be reimagined and this included new menus, rebranding and a new dining room. The new design features an extended tasting bar with an area for demonstration cooking. This organizing element extends out to the main entrance and transforms to illuminated signage. The rough sawn 2” white oak stave paneling throughout references the rich viticulture of the Niagara Region.
The restaurant design incorporates crafted raw materials and hand-made details all intended to parallel the art and experience of food and wine production.
