University of Toronto Mississauga Office of the Dean

The Office of the Dean at the University of Toronto Mississauga campus provides a new workplace for two divisions which previously did not share their office facilities: Academic Integrity and Experimental Learning and Division Research.  A key goal of the renovation was the integration of an open-office concept plan.  The University intends to transition from enclosed private offices to a more flexible, efficient and collaborative environment. The principal design ambition was to provide transparency to the rest of the school and create an accessible relationship with staff and students.  An existing skylight became the departure point for planning the office space.  Positioned in the main entrance area, it creates a warm and inviting first impression.
